LINDEN – Police are on the lookout for a silver Ford Ranger double-cab bakkie after its involvement in several crimes in the Robin Hills area.

Police are on the lookout for a silver Ford Ranger double-cab bakkie after its involvement in several crimes in the Robin Hills area.

According to Warrant Officer Sarel Bredenhand, this vehicle has been used in several break-ins and attempted break-ins.

Last week, the Randburg Sun reported on a spate of break-ins in the Robin Hills area.

Bredenhand said, “The vehicle is not unique to crimes in the Robin Hills area alone, it has also been seen in incidents as far as Blairgowrie, Malanshof and other surrounding areas.”

According to the police, the Ford Ranger has a colour-coded canopy.The vehicle has no default Ford spotlights in the front and has very dark tinted windows.

Bredenhand continued, “The vehicle has been constantly changing its number plates, making it very difficult to track down. The vehicle is usually occupied by four to five African males,

“We have to appeal to the community to report any suspicious activity involving these vehicles to their local police.”

Police are also suspicious of a green Hyundai Tucson 4×4, which may be involved with the same crime syndicate.
