Although breast cancer awareness month has passed, a local wellness spa will once again highlight the importance of getting screened.
Urban Bliss Wellness Spa will be hosting their Pink Me Up event on 11 November in Emmarentia. On the day, breast screenings, health tests and laser hair removal session will be free.
Their event is not only to give back to their immediate community through free screenings and goodies, they will also have other activities at a cost of which the proceeds will go to charity, the Pink Drive and Helen Joseph Hospital’s oncology ward.
Free on the day:
- Breast cancer screenings
- Blood pressure test
- Blood sugar test
- Cholesterol test
- Laser hair removal – either upper-lip or underarm
- Yoga mat (only if you book and attend a yoga, pilates or self-defence class)
Activities:
- Pilates (10am and 1pm)
- Women’s self-defence classes (10.45am and 2pm)
- Yoga (11.30am and 3pm)
