City of Johannesburg to host various IDP feedback sessions

The City of Johannesburg has confirmed details for next month’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP) feedback.

The importance of the IDP feedback sessions is to give residents a chance to engage with authorities over budgets and plans for their communities.

Councillor Vasco da Gama, speaker of the council said, “We want to go back to communities to give them first-hand information on what is contained in the budget.

We want the councillors to be fully informed regarding how much money each ward is getting through the budget.”

He added that this process of community engagement will enable the Mayor, Herman Mashaba and his MMCs to outline to communities how much has been set aside for what projects.
