Join Randburg small business hub

JOBURG – But how can small businesses get involved?

The ultimate aim for the City is to create more jobs, but how can small business owners become part of this dialogue?

Ward 101 councillor, Dalu Cele, recently spoke to Randburg Sun about how small businesses can get involved.

“Small businesses play an important role in the economic growth of the city and by employing people of the city,” Cele said.

The City wants to grow the economy of the city by 5 per cent by 2021.

Executive Mayor of Johannesburg, Herman Mashaba, in his State of the City address said there is now a total of seven hubs throughout the city and that the plan is to double this to 14 hubs by the end of the 2017/18 financial year, meaning mid next year.

Through the small business hubs, small businesses are able to interact with the City.

“There are many platforms where the City provides platforms for small businesses to be part of the dialogue in creating jobs,” Mashaba said.
