Pizza made perfect for children of Lighthouse Baby Shelter

SUNDOWNER – Pizza Perfect delivered several pizzas to Lighthouse Baby Shelter and the children revelled in the delight.

It was the perfect day for pizza at Lighthouse Baby Shelter as Pizza Perfect delivered a selection of pizza for the little ones.

Owner of Pizza Perfect in Northwold Junction, Ronnie de Freitas said for the past four years, the pizzeria has donated several boxes of pizza to the shelter on a monthly basis.

“When I first heard about the work that is being done at the shelter I was so touched by it that I felt I needed to jump in and do something for the children,” said De Freitas.

“It feels good to give back as that is what life is all about, giving back in some way.”

Eleanor Duston owns the shelter which has been in operation since 2008 and serves as a safe house for abandoned babies and neglected children.

Duston said most of the children who live at the shelter have been there since they were babies and each faced hardships that no child should have to endure.

On the day, along with the boxes of pizza, the children were each given a box juice to enjoy. De Freitas said Pizza Perfect would continue to donate monthly to the shelter as it makes the children happy.

She concluded with hopes that the children would all find their happiness and that it would perpetuate all through their lives.
