MUST READ: Republic Road repairs could cause heavy traffic congestion in Randburg

RANDBURG – Repairs are ongoing on Republic Road and will possibly affect traffic.

A section of Republic Road has been closed off since 29 September and will remain closed until the Johannesburg Roads Agency announces otherwise.

Spokesperson for the agency, Bertha Peters-Scheepers said teams are onsite attending to an underground water leakage.

“Drivers are urged to use alternative routes. They will be affected from the corner of Rabie Street traveling towards Cresta,” said Peters-Scheepers.

Republic Road becomes heavily congested during peak-hour traffic. Therefore motorists are advised to take alternative routes.
