rAge is back for its 15th instalment

South Africa’s biggest annual video gaming, computer, technology and geek culture exhibition is back for its 15th anniversary.

The rAge Expo, organised by NAG, will be held between 6 and 8 October at the Ticketpro Dome at Northgate. During that time tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans will descend on the venue for three days of gaming, technology, gadgets, and geek lifestyle entertainment.

At the expo, rAgers will be able to purchase new games and consoles, chat with local comic-book artists, take selfies with your favourite cosplayers and interact with other gaming enthusiasts.

rAge provides a platform to touch and feel, try and experiment. The show will aim to provide a glimpse into the future as they have always been open to giving gamers a chance to try new things and give them hands-on time before making consoles, games and computer hardware purchases. The latest goodies will be on show for all people who share a passion for video gaming, computer, technology and geek culture.

rAge will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in style as they will be giving out a special surprise for those in attendance, a massive prize giveaway valued at R100 000. VS Gaming, the largest independent gaming brand and the leading platform for online gaming in Africa, has come on board as the headline sponsor.

The epic 52-hour BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer/Console) LAN will be held once again. Fifty-two hours of non-stop multiplayer gaming all on the same network. Gamers will have the chance to compete against each other and swap stories while slaying dragons and questing together.

Tickets are still available for the event. A single day pass is R120 and the weekend pass is R300. Children under the age of six can enter for free.

The numbers are in for this year’s rAge Expo, where 124 exhibitors and 34 693 visitors made 2016 the best one yet.
