Trinityhouse celebrates its 20th anniversary

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge celebrated this milestone through showing the talents of their school children.

Audiences were left spellbound by the level of talent the children of Trinityhouse School Randpark Ridge displayed at their Roots and Wings celebration.

Trinityhouse Randpark Ridge has a Roots and Wings-themed celebration for their 20th birthday.

This event was to mark the school’s 20th anniversary and guests in attendance were the school’s founders and parents. Marketing officer for the school, Robyn Aingworth, said the production took the audience on a journey.

“It was a walk down memory lane, from humble beginnings in 1996 when the construction began to where the school is today.”

The Senior String and Flute Ensemble open up the night.

On the evening, the whole school got involved. The pre-primary class took to the stage and sung, Bare Necessities, wearing animal masks. Also, the school’s various choirs set the nights tempo at an all time melodic high. They sang songs such as Special Star, Just One Small Voice, Amazing Grace and I Have A Dream to name a few.

Aingworth said when the school opened in January 1997 it only had 298 children walk through its doors but now has about 2 000.

“The school has continued to grow with the addition of classrooms, swimming pools and a hockey astro,” added Aingworth.

She said the school’s sports teams, music and drama departments and outreach programmes have steadily developed and grown into a busy programme that offers the children opportunities to develop.
