2 Suspects arrested after business robbery

BORDEAUX – Suspects arrested on a charge of stealing electrical appliances at business premises.

Two suspects who were arrested on 27 June on a charge of committing a business robbery, are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.

Randburg Police Station spokesperson Captain Johannes Maja said the suspects are between the ages of 26 and 30. It is alleged that they broke into business premises on the evening of 26 June.

“At about 18.45pm, the victim left her business premises in Bordeaux with all the doors and windows closed and locked. She left everything in good order. When she arrived at work the following day she noticed that the padlock was broken and the door forced open,” he said.

She inspected the office and noticed that electrical appliances had been stolen. “She contacted the police and a case was opened for investigation purposes. In the afternoon of 27 June, through information received, members of the sector police arrested two suspects in connection with the break-in,” Maja said.

In a separate incident, detectives managed to arrest two suspects for a house break-in, theft and assault with intent to cause bodily grievously harm.

“The suspects are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon. Investigations continue,” he said.
