Achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle

NORTHWOLD – Phoenix Health and Fitness centre will empower residents of Northwold.

Jay Naudé and Alex Dias are adamant that people can successfully achieve a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

They are partners in a new gym, Phoenix Strength and Fitness, expected to open in July at the Northwold Junction Shopping Centre.

“As a team, we like challenges, seizing life and experiencing every moment. Fitness for us is holistic and not just about exercise – nutrition is critical,” said Naudé.

The pair saw a gap in the market where clients require personal fitness advice that ticks all their lifestyle boxes and helps them reach their fitness goals without harming themselves.

“We want to grow and shape not only our current clients, new clients and our team but the industry as well. We believe we can leave a long-lasting footprint in the fitness industry,” said Dias.

They have developed a method to help people achieve goals in a way that has not yet been done.

Naudé and Dias plan to make a huge contribution to the industry. They have been trained locally and internationally, making connections all over the world.

Their plans include hosting training workshops for personal trainers through affiliated international and local companies and for members and fitness enthusiasts.

“We want to raise industry standards, enhance skills sets and improve the public’s perception of personal trainers,” said Naudé.

These workshops will include technique coaching for specific movements and lifts to prevent injury and improve performance, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, as well as life coach workshops for stress management, goal setting and improved success and performance in both personal and work environments.

They emphasised that community involvement was their top priority and they have partnered with a local security company to hold regular women’s self-defense and awareness classes.

“We will also engage community members regularly to identify causes close to their hearts, partnering with them to create awareness and raise funds. We will be hosting fundraising challenges and community events to support important causes in the community,” he said.

The team reassured residents that Phoenix Strength and Fitness has complied, and will comply with all relevant city bylaws and has received authorisation from town planning to operate as a business and a tenant at Northwold Junction.

“Noise levels will be kept to an absolute minimum and within appropriate, acceptable levels,” he said.

The gym will officially open on 1 July.
