Multi-cultural musical extravaganza in Blairgowrie

FERNDALE – Residents can look forward to enjoying a multi-musical show with a twist of a Samson and Delilah story line.

 

 

A stage play Samson and Delilah to be put on by the Excellence International Ministries in Ferndale on 10 June is set to entertain audiences and embrace the diversity of South African multicultural society.

The multi-musical show will incorporate songs, poetry, dialogue and dances with a twist to the biblical story.

This is the first show which is part of the church’s community outreach programmes and was expected to be an annual event.

The actors who will entertain the audience.

One of the main actors, Adrian Chetty, who will be playing the character of Samson, said the production would reflect the country’s multicultural society while simultaneously showing the faithfulness of God.

“We will be showing the beauty of our country, that we are one voice,” he said.

Renitha Chetty, Sindi Phiri, Adrian Chetty and Lamoor Chetty are ready to entertain audiences.

The show is expected to be a family event filled with fun and excitement for the residents of the greater Randburg area. The script writer Sindi Phiri said the inspiration for the show was to put people of different cultural views in one place.

“This is an event for the community. Just like in Bollywood, it will be done with songs and dances,” she said.

The cast promises an exciting experience.

The show will take place at Blairgowrie Recreational Centre from 4 pm until 7 pm.

Tickets will cost R30 per person.
