Junior Diggers opens doors to new talent

PRAEGVILLE – Want to play for your local rugby club or dust off those rugby boots?

Get ready to experience one of Joburg’s oldest rugby clubs as Diggers Junior’s Rugby Club opens their doors for news players again.

The group is hosting its annual Open Day on 27 May at Diggers Rugby Club situated at the Randburg Sports Complex. The club was founded in 1893 and can boast 200 Transvaal Players, 20 Springboks and three Springbok captains.

The club’s executive team will be running the day with Boksmart certified coaches.

There are two options; one is a paid rugby clinic with Springbok Julian Redelinghuys and former Lions players. Option two is a training session with coaches and senior players for each age group free of charge.

The training session is open to age groups U7 to U13. Bring your future Springbok down for a fun-filled day.

The pub and restaurant, as well as additional food, will be available. Fans can catch the Super Rugby matches on the TVs at the club.
