Ferndale homeowner stops armed suspects and foils a robbery

FERNDALE – Three armed men who fired the shots fled after the homeowner retaliated.

A homeowner foiled an armed robbery on the evening of 8 May in Oak Avenue in Ferndale.

According to the spokesperson for Linden Police Station, Captain Walter Spencer, the homeowner retaliated after three armed men allegedly fired shots on his driveway.

Spencer said that when the man fired back, the three suspects got back into their vehicle and drove off.

“There was no damage or injury sustained during the incident,” Spencer said.

The suspects were travelling in silver Audi.

Spencer said the police were investigating a case of attempted armed robbery.
