Randburg Local Drug Action Committee launches

RANDBURG – Worried about drugs in Randburg? Attend the Randburg LDAC launch.

The City of Johannesburg Social Development Department in partnership with relevant stakeholders invites the community to the launch of the Randburg Local Drug Action Committee.

The committee is excited to introduce themselves to the Randburg community.

Their aim is to promote substance abuse awareness, prevention and treatment and to share information on services rendered in the community.

The launch will be held on 6 May from 10am to 12pm midday at the Randburg Square on the corner of Oak and Sentrum streets.

The whole event is aimed at introducing the Randburg Local Drug Action Committee to the community, clarifying its roles and responsibilities.

“[We hope] to mobilise the community to lead in the fight against substance abuse. To engage with the community members on the draft business plan,” said committee chairperson, Hennie Oosthuizen.
