Play golf for netball

RAND PARK – Have fun while playing golf in order to raise funds for Gauteng Schools Netball.

Golfing enthusiasts can look forward to participating in an eventful Golf Day and raise funds for a good cause.

The event will be hosted at the Randpark Golf Club on 11 April, in order to raise funds for Gauteng Schools Netball.

Organiser Corlia Kolbé-Rossouw said that they are raising funds for schoolchildren, umpires and coaches going to the SA Schools Netball All Ages National Tournament.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the Golf Day and donate towards the event.

“This is our first Golf Day and fundraising initiative, so we are crossing fingers that things turn out well. It’s a great opportunity to give back to the community. If they donate funds they can also get a Sars rebate,” said Kolbé-Rossouw.

The following is needed for the Golf Day:

  • Three four-ball entries for R2 800
  • Two large prizes
  • Five small prizes
  • One sponsor for a player or a hole for R2 500.

Organiser Dianne Woolley added that the tournament will take place from 2 to 7 July in Boksburg.

“We welcome any donations… as most of the players… cannot afford the travelling costs and accommodation,” concluded Woolley.
