A Democratic Alliance (DA) supporter , clad in a blue party T-shirt and said to have paraded an anti-Zuma placard close to Luthuli House, the African National Congress’ headquarters, was injured after allegedly being attacked by members of the ANC.

Bystanders witnessed police carrying the man away from the headquarters where an ambulance took him to hospital.
The South African police’s Brigadier Mathapelo Peters confirmed that three DA members were walking close to the headquarters when they were said to have been attacked by a group of ANC supporters.
ANC supporters had been outside Luthuli house since this morning, with groups marching around the area.
Metro police spokesperson Wayne Minnaar said that the attacked prompted rubber bullets shot at ANC members.
Four members, three women and one man were then taken to hospital.

It is unclear, Minnaar said, if Metro police or SAPS officers shot the bullets.
“There will be an internal [Metro police] and Saps investigation,” he said.
The Democratic Alliance was one of only two groups, another a prayer group, that applied to march on Friday.
This Minnaar confirmed earlier this week saying if a group of more than 15 people were intending to march, they needed to apply.
