BREAKING: World’s first fire amusement park comes to Jozi

JOBURG – Soon residents will be able to ride rollercoasters through rings of fire at a fire amusement park in Joburg.

Thank you for being such good sports and happy April Fool’s Day!

Fires are always a devastating event and one that we never imagine happening to us.

We encourage all our readers to always be responsible and to equip themselves with information on what to do should they find themselves in that unfortunate situation.

Bronwen Jones, founder of the organisation Children of Fire, said, “We are in April. Beware the date because there are jokers around. Fire is, in fact, very dangerous.”

The world’s first fire amusement park is on its way and you will not want to miss out on a blazing time.

Visitors will be able to turn up the heat with fiery rollercoaster rides, lava tube slides, spinning firenados and even a walk through a burning building.

All pathways are made of hot coals, but before visitors can step inside the park, they will be provided with firefighter suits – one of the many safety precautions in place.
The entity that owns the park, Dreamchasers, has just revealed at a press conference that construction of ‘Fireland’ is underway in Randpark Ridge and the park is expected to open as early as 31 April.

Johannesburg Emergency Management Services spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi gives Fireland a thumbs up.

Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) has held meetings with Dreamchasers executives, and EMS spokesperson, Robert Mulaudzi, assures that the park will meet all safety regulations.

“We have done all safety checks and made sure the park meets international fire-safety standards and has complied with fire-safety bylaws,” Mulaudzi said.”We hope people will enjoy the park – especially the walk through the burning building, as residents will have a chance to experience what firefighters do on a day-to-day basis.”

If you are a thrill junkie, the Fiery Death rollercoaster will appeal to you, as it twists and twirls through hoops of fire. Or perhaps you will enjoy the Flame Train, which races through explosions in a combustible gas mine. The ultimate thrill is a walk through a burning office building*, as walls and roofs literally burn down around you (* Only five of these rides are permitted per person for logistic reasons).
If you would like a more laid-back experience, take the Blazy Boats through streams of lava created by a recent volcanic eruption. Dreamchasers spokespeople described the ride as both calm and family friendly. When asked about the composition of the ‘lava’, they merely warned ‘do not touch’.
The park will have nothing but spicy food, so even your taste buds will burn. All in all, Fireland promises to be a blast for the whole family.
