Wide spread water outages have been reported in and around Randpark Ridge, Bromhof, and Boskruin from last night.
Johannesburg Water reported last night that technicians were busy repairing a major burst on Kayburn Avenue affecting the reservoir and that there is a major 465mm pipe which is the inlet of Randpark Ridge reservoir which needed to be replaced. Water supply was reduced to complete the repairs.
As of this morning repairs are still underway, a delay was caused due to the need for more materials.

Complete repairs and restoration of water supply is expected around 5pm this evening.
