JOBURG – A few facts and figures about your water entity.

Johannesburg Water is the municipal-owned entity of the City of Johannesburg responsible for providing water and wastewater services to about five million people.

With an annual income of more than R6 billion, the entity is crucial to the City’s overall revenue.

More than 2 500 people work within seven regions and 10 network depots to make sure taps keeps running.

Although this does not always happen, plans to re-integrate the entity into the City’s administration is a decision made by Executive Mayor Herman Mashaba and is aimed at bettering service delivery.
