Domestic worker’s murder case postponed

KENSINGTON B – The domestic worker who is charged with her employer's murder in Lonehill, appeared briefly in the Randburg Magistrates' Court.

A domestic worker who is accused of stabbing her employer to death has appeared in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on charges of murder.

Nomatter Musondo briefly appeared before Magistrate Christina Sethusha, who postponed the case to 7 March. It is alleged that on 12 October, Wilma van Tonder was stabbed by Musondo at her home in Lonehill.

Furthermore, Van Tonder’s husband found their five-year-old son sitting with his mother’s bloody body. It is alleged that the boy asked Masondo if she was going to kill him too.

Musondo appeared calm and wore a grey tracksuit while several of her family members watched proceedings from the gallery. Her legal representative was unable to attend proceedings and the matter was postponed.
