Abandoned car in Northwold

NORTHWOLD – The side of the road appears to be a scrapyard in the suburb.

It has been more than a month since a Honda vehicle has been parked outside a residence on Fourth Road in Northwold.

According to the resident, Randy Stone, the badly damaged car has been on the grass verge since mid-December last year. “The wheels have now been removed and the wreck is a sorry sight in our leafy suburb,” he said.

The car initially only had collision damage but to date, some of the car has been stripped. Stone said the side of the road looked like a scrapyard and the vehicle did not have any number plates.

Spokesperson for Metro police Superintendent Wayne Minnaar, urged residents to report abandoned vehicles. “Abandoned vehicles must be reported to our department and we will attend to the problem.”
