Missing woman (82) found 2 days later

LINDEN – Waltraud Holzer is currently under intensive care at Helen Joseph Hospital.

Waltraud Holzer (82) is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Helen Joseph Hospital after being found on 22 January.

Holzer has sustained minor injuries, including a broken wrist

She went missing at around 4pm on 20 January.

Diedre Dreyer from the Randburg Baptist Church said Holzer does not drive and her handbag was found inside her apartment on 9th Street, Linden, where she lives on her own.

“We believe she had locked up the house and gone for a walk. She is German and does not speak much English,” added Dreyer.

A missing person’s case was opened at the Linden Police Station.

Dreyer explained that at this stage they are clueless as to how Holzer ended up in the ambulance or how she was injured.
