Biker left injured on road, reason unclear

A man, believed to be in his 50s, is in a serious condition after he fell off his motorbike on Hyperion Drive in Northriding on 12 January.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man lying on the side of the road just a few feet away from his motorbike. A light delivery vehicle and trailer were also found parked in the middle of the road, however, it is unclear whether or not the vehicle was involved in the incident.
After assessing the victim, paramedics found that the man had sustained a serious injury to his leg and immediately treated him and administered several advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the man was transported by another medical service to a private hospital for urgent treatment.
It is not yet known if the biker fell off his motorbike or if he collided with the light delivery vehicle. Investigations are underway.
