WATCH: Grade 1s enjoy their first day at school
NORTH RIDING – Most of the Grade one pupils at North Riding Academy were eager and ready to learn on their first day at school.
NORTH RIDING – Kiara Kannemeyer wants to go to Paris when she grows up, while her classmate Thabiso Mathibela aspires to be a rugby player.
These are some of the little ones who started the first day of their 12-year academic journey at the PLG North Riding Academy.
It was a hive of activity for the young ones as they lined up to go to their classrooms for the first time. Wearing their crisp, new school uniforms for the first time, they were excited and ready to learn.
The school headmaster, Andries van der Heever said the little ones were eager and ready to conquer their new academic venture. “Most of them were excited when they arrived this morning. They were bright and shiny,” he said.
