Two beautiful baby girls born on Christmas Day at Olivedale Clinic

OLIVEDALE – Christmas blessed two families with the gift of life this year.

Two baby girls were born on Christmas day this year at Netcare Olivedale Hospital, surprising both of their families.

The earliest born out of the two new-born baby girls was, Melokuhla Msimango. She was born to parents, Nonhlanzeko Msimango (mother) and Mxolisi Dube (father) at 4.25am on Christmas morning.

Baby Msimango was born weighing 3.380kg and 30.5cm in height. Her mother explained,

“I did not plan to have her on Chrsitmas day, she was supposed to be born on the 22 of December, so she was late.”

The second of the Christmas babies to be born was Botlhale Maepa. She opened her eyes to the world at 7.52pm to her happy parents; Hellen and Moraka Maepa. Baby Botlhale is a tall baby girl at a length of 49cm and weighing 3.340kg at birth.

Moraka and Hellen hold their baby girl Nonhlanzeko Maepa.

Her mother and father laughed that they never expected her so soon.

“We thought she was going to be born around 2 January… so we decided to go back home to Rustenburg before she was born, it was on the way back that we knew that she was on the way.”

Randburg Sun congratulates both of the families on their Christmas bundles of joy.
