Spare a thought for our furry friends at the SPCA

NORTH RIDING – Spare a thought for the cats and dogs at the Randburg SPCA this Christmas.

The Randburg SPCA is always looking for sponsors as they depend on donations from the public.

Earlier this year Travis Smit (12), became a hero when he donated over 140 food items to the Randburg SPCA after cycling over 94km in the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge. As much as the animal welfare organisation appreciated Smit’s heartfelt donation, more is needed to look after the cats and dogs.

This is what they wish for this Christmas:

  •  Razor wire rolls
  • Electric fencing
  • Cement, wheelbarrows
  • Large fishing nets
  • 10 catching poles
  • Kennel brooms
  • Metal pooper-scoopers
  • Heavy-duty hosepipes
  • Elbow length leather gloves
  • Generator
  • Four Wendy houses
  • HTH chlorine, pine gel
  • Food and blankets
  • Laptops
  • Cellphones
  • Dog/cat runs
  • Quarantine kennels
  • Five Speed Queen washing machines
  • Four Jojo tanks
  • Volunteer builders, plumbers, electricians, landscapers and gardeners.

Details: Randburg SPCA 011 462 1610.
