Mcebo Dlamini has been granted bail

JOHANNESBURG - Wits student leader, Mcebo Dlamini appeared today in court.

Former Wits SRC president, Mcebo Dlamini appeared at the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court today, where he was granted R2000 bail.

He is facing five charges all related to the #FeesMustFall protests that erupted and have been ongoing at Wits University since 19 September following Minister of Higher Education Blade Nzimande announcement that universities across the country could raise fees up to eight percent.

He was arrested on 16 October at Wits University’s student residence in Braamfontein and taken to Cleveland Police Station.
