Four-vehicle collision leaves four injured

DOUGLASDALE – The road will be closed for some time to a fuel leak which has spread across most of the road.

Four people have been injured this morning after a four-vehicle collision at the Douglas and Alexander Road intersection.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found that a taxi, cement truck and two light motor vehicles blocking the two-lane road.

On closer inspection, paramedics found that only four occupants from the taxi, three women and one man, had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Witkoppen clinic for further treatment.

The road will be closed for some time to a fuel leak which has spread across most of the road.

Local authorities are on scene for further investigations.
