Northriding Secondary School will host their first public fundraiser at the Rivonia Barnyard on 2 November.
The show, 1 Hit Wonders, starts at 8pm and promises an evening of amazing music and entertainment. All funds raised will go towards building a school hall and towards their first matric dance next year.
Community members can support the school by purchasing a ticket for R150.
The school currently accommodates Grade 8 to 11 pupils and has an enrollment of 615 pupils. The school has a complement of 22 teachers, two administrative assistants and three general assistants.
Principal Dr Francois Oosthuizen has been at the school since it opened in 2014. “We are in a building phase and, as with all new schools, we still have many requirements that will improve the schooling experience for the pupils,” he said.
