Roadwork that is outstanding on the corner of Maria Street and Percy Road in Fontainbleau will only be started in a week-and-a-half.
Joburg Roads Agency’s (JRA) operations manager for communications and marketing, Bertha Peters-Scheepers said, “The JRA has scheduled the road markings, street naming and missing signage to begin on 23 September.”
The corner, which is meant to be a stop street, was damaged during the installation of fibre sleeves and has been in need of repairs for about two months. Resident, Kobus Oosterhuizen said, “We can just hope that JRA sticks to the given date and it does not rain on that day. We will keep our eyes on the kerb to see what happens.”
