Domestic worker tied up during robbery

RANDPARK RIDGE – Jewellery, electronic equipment and passports were stolen.

Three males held a domestic worker at gunpoint while they ransacked a home in Randpark Ridge.

The 56-year-old woman was cleaning a house on Cooper Street on 6 September when three male suspects overpowered her.

According to Linden police spokesperson Captain Walter Spencer, the suspects gained entry through the front door. “They tied her up with ropes and proceeded to go through the house to steal items,” explained Spencer.

The three suspects managed to steal various items ranging from jewellery, passports, two flat screen televisions, wrist watches, DVD players, and even an electric kettle.

A case of armed robbery at a household has been opened at the Linden Police Station and is in the process of being investigated.
