Northriding College celebrated Spring Day on 2 September.
In conjunction with Casual Day Friday and Spring Day, the school decided to support the Gateway School for the disabled in Ruimsig. The funds raised will be going towards their classrooms.
All the pupils were asked to bring R20 instead of R10. The total amount raised for the Gateway School was R2 010, which will be handed over to them next week.
There was even an opportunity for pupils to participate in a Spring Hat competition for the most original and creative hats.
The pupils showed so much enthusiasm and arrived at school with incredibly beautiful homemade creations. “It was indeed very difficult to decide on winners as all of them were winners in their own right,” said Principal, Karien Buys.
