Unika Pre-Primary has just completed a nine-month construction project to address the growing need for more classrooms.
“We built a brand-new two-storey wing with four new classrooms as we have had a backlog of new applications for the last few years and wanted to meet the needs of our community,” said Wilma Steinmann, principal of Unika Pre-primary.
These new classrooms have expanded the school’s capacity to two, two-year-old classes, three, three-year-old classes, four, four-year-old classes and four, five-year-old classes.
Steinmann added that the school now has space for children for next year and in the future. “We welcome children from all backgrounds; they will find a home away from home to learn, grown and play,” said Steinmann. She explained that children from the pre-primary are given preference when applying to Laerskool Unika as they are seen as ‘siblings’ of the primary school. With a few spaces left for pupils in 2017 and 2018, parents who wish to apply for admittance, may call the school.
