Mayoral candidate family threatened amid voting scandal

Franco de Lange Freedom Front Plus mayoral candidate in Johannesburg received an anonymous SMS message this morning warning him that ‘his wife and child will go missing’ if he votes for the opposition against the ANC in the Joburg Council meeting.

According to a Freedom Front press release, De Lange said, “I will not be intimidated. We have informed the opposition parties about the threatening SMS and will go to the Police to lay a charge.”
