Pretoria Avenue traffic lights not working

RANDBURG CBD – JRA is arranging with City Power to ensure that Traffic lights are work again.

The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) is currently liaising with City Power to ensure that traffic lights on Pretoria Avenue, Randburg CBD, are back in working order, again!

“The two signals are without power as there was construction on site resulting in damage to the traffic signal supply cable and also the point of supply was damaged,” said JRA spokesperson, Bertha Peters-Scheepers.

The traffic lights have apparently not been in working order since the middle of June; however, JRA was grateful that the matter was brought to its attention.

According to Ward 102 Councillor, David Potter, it was believed the signals were out of order due to construction of the Hill Street Mall. “The matter has been escalated to both City Power and the JRA to find an urgent interim power supply to ensure the safety of pedestrians,” he said.
