FONTAINEBLEAU - A water pipe has burst, leaving some without water.

A water pipe has burst in Elise Road, leaving residents without water in the surrounding areas.

Johannesburg Water (JW) spokesperson Eleanor Mavimbela said that a team is on site to do repairs, estimated to be completed by 8pm.

“A water tanker will be placed at the corner of Elise Road and Rabie Street,” she said.

Mavimbela said JW urges residents to remain active partners in reducing the amount of water used in the City of Johannesburg, and to report any form of vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 0800 00 25 87.

“Residents are encouraged to subscribe, on our website, to our sms notification service for alerts on planned or unplanned service interruptions,” she added.
