Taxi crashes into a street light

Passengers were injured after the taxi they were travelling in rolled on Beyers Naude Drive in Fairlands, yesterday afternoon. ER24 paramedics arrived on the seen at 4.20pm and found the taxi lying on its side in the middle of the pavement.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into a street light. On assessment, paramedics found that two women and a man had been injured in the accident, only sustaining minor injuries. The patients were treated by the paramedics then transported to the Helen Joseph Hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
