Locations for water tanks:

Level-2 water restrictions are still in place and should be adhered to. This means, no municipal water should be used to irrigate gardens at certain times, to fill swimming pools or wash cars.

Mavimbela did say that due to the colder weather conditions, the stipulated times that residents are not allowed to water and irrigate their gardens has changed from 6am until 6pm to 8am until 4pm every day.

“We urge residents to remain active partners in reducing the amount of water used in Johannesburg and to report any form of vandalism and theft of water infrastructure to 0800 00 25 87. Residents are encouraged to subscribe, on our website, to our SMS notification service for alerts on planned or unplanned service interruptions,” she added.

Water restrictions will also take place in certain streets in Marlboro.
