FRA warns of possible strike

JOBURG – Chemical sector union had declared a strike starting from Thursday morning.

Fuel Retailers Associations (FRA) warned of possible strike expected to commence on Thursday morning, 28 July, by Chemical Energy Paper Printing Wood and Allied Workers Union (CEPPWAWU).

The chemical sector union had declared a strike effective Thursday morning.

 

According to a notice by FRA CEO Reggie Sibiya, this strike will affect refineries, depots and insourced truck drivers. The strike is not part of the current forecourt staff wage negotiations under Motor Industry Bargaining Council (MIBCO).
