Support a worthy cause

FERNDALE –T he iconic bandana has gone through an exciting transformation called the Tube of Hope –Tope.

The Sunflower Fund is dedicated to creating awareness, educating the public and handling the registration process for people to join the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR).

The Sunflower Fund together with key sponsor Pick n Pay, are involved in a new campaign called ‘Sunflower Day’, that will officially be launch on 7 August. The initiative will be celebrated on the third Friday of September annually.

Sunflower Day takes place on 16 September this year and the campaign will run from August until the end of September. The organisations iconic bandana has been changed from its previous design.

A reinvented design of the bandana was unveiled earlier on this month, called the ‘Tube of Hope’ – ‘Tope’. The revitalised version reflects the renewed enthusiasm and excitement of the mission of increasing the number of stem cell donors in South Africa.

The Tope can be worn in various different ways such as a headband, mask, scarf, cap or arm-band. It also comes in six different eye-catching colours and can be used by the whole family. This is a great opportunity for people to show their support towards a worthy cause.

The bandana is available in children’s sizes that cost R20 and R25 for adult sizes at Pick n Pay stores nationwide, Round Table and Zando online store from August.
