What is your voting station address?

JOBURG – You can check your voting station online at the IEC's website.

The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) last week published the addresses of all the voting stations for the local government elections on 3 August.

All 22 612 voting station addresses were published in the IEC’s website www.elections.org.za

“The list of addresses of voting stations for each municipality is also available for inspection at the relevant local Electoral Commission office. The routes and approximate times for the 31 mobile voting stations are also available,” the IEC [www.elections.org.za/] spokesperson, Kate Bapela, said.

To check the address of your voting station:

Dial *120*432# and follow the prompts

· SMS your ID number to 32810 (at a cost of R1)

· Click the My Registration Details button on www.elections.org.za

· Call the Electoral Commission contact centre on 0800 11 8000 between 7am and 9pm on weekdays.

Remember, you can only vote at the voting station where you are registered.
