In response to this, Chantelle Fraser, managing director of Dracore Data Sciences, said via email that she would accept an offer from Londoloza and that she would pay the difference as the stolen hardware has gone up due to exchange rates.

Londoloza and Dracore’s lawyers are now in contact and are working on the claim for the stolen goods. “We have nothing to hide. We have been running clean for 10 years,” said Le Roux.

Londoloza has an intense recruitment process in place, where candidates have to provide identity documents, Private Security Industry Authority (PSiRA) detail and a CV. The candidate undergoes an exam and their finger prints are put on record and scanned through the Police data base to check for any criminal records.

A driving test is also done as well as a firearm competency test to make sure that the candidate is capable. Potential candidates are also personally interviewed by senior management. According to Le Roux this intense process is not a requirement for members of private security companies.

Londoloza employees are also asked to take random polygraph tests to ensure the business is ‘running clean’. The last polygraph test on the ex-employee who absconded, was conducted in November last year. “We do go the extra mile to veto the guys, but we do realise there is still human error,” Le Roux added.

Le Roux confirmed that Londoloza had been out on three different locations with the police to raid the ex-employee’s home, locate his whereabouts and bring him to justice.
