KENSINGTON B – Pathologist will now testify in the Simba Mhere trial.

The trial of the man who has been charged with the death of Top Billing presenter Simba Mhere will continue in the Randburg Magistrates Court today (6 July) after a three month break.

The trial started on 8 December last year. Continue reading here.

Naidoo claimed that the accident was caused by “an unexpected and unforeseeable mechanical defect in the right suspension of the vehicle (white Polo GTI)” that he was driving. He testified, “I lost control of the vehicle, which caused the collision between my vehicle and other vehicles.”

Various witnesses have testified including Valry Laka, the driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash, as well as her eldest son and the JMPD officer who inspected the scene. Mhere’s father, Joseph, also gave a heartfelt testimony in court.

The courtroom can expect to hear evidence from the pathologist who conducted Mhere and O’Bryan’s autopsies.
