Security company escorts school children

FONTAINEBLEAU – Ghost Squad escorts pupils and monitor schools to curb the level of crime in Randburg suburbs.

The Ghost Squad private security company recently escorted the pupils of IR Griffith Primary School to Delta Park during their walk.

This is some of many activities that this company provides to the community as they battle to decrease the rate of crime incidents in the greater Randburg area.

The company’s CEO and founder, Allan Stott, acknowledged that they endeavour to assist schools in their area. “We do this most of the time,” he said.

He further explained that they work with police and other law enforcement agencies such as JMPD during operations to end the scourge of crime incidents.

Stott had been in the industry for over four decades and believes that constantly monitoring the suburbs will certainly put an end to the scourge.

According to him, the level of crime in the Randburg suburbs has escalated compared to the previous five years. “I think the level of crime has increased but we work hand in hand with the police to put an end to this problem,” he said.

He further explained that the rolling out and installation of the fibre-optic in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg had severe consequences in this battle.

“We see an influx of people in the streets, as early as 4am and it is difficult to distinguish between a criminal and an employee,” he said.

He further explained that vagrants and trolley pushers were also loitering in suburbs.

“By being proactive and doing an extensive background checks when recruiting new guards to join our team has helped us assist our communities,” said one of the operations managers, Douglas Benningfield.
