Curro Aurora cheerleading team to compete at the nationals

SUNDOWNER – Curro Aurora cheerleading team triumphed at the recently held Samca's competition.

The pupils of Curro Aurora Independent Schools in Sundowner are preparing for the National Championships Cheerleading Competition to be held on 2 July in Benoni.

This cheerleading team has been competing since the beginning of the year. They’ve won five competitions already and are now preparing for the national competition.

They have been competing under the South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association (Samca) banner.

Curro Aurora’s co-ed team are currently ranked number one in Gauteng. They will also be taking part in the all-girl, partner stunts and group categories at the national championships.

Levi Martin, Curro Aurora’s head of sports – intermediate phase, is currently ranked number one in Gauteng for partner stunts, and number one with cheer strike all stars in the co-ed tertiary division, and will also be competing at the same championships on 3 July.
