The police are searching for two suspects who were involved in an armed robbery and fled with a Subaru vehicle and other valuable items worth R700 000.
Randburg Police has released the identity kit of the two culprits after a victim positively identified them.
A white bakkie was parked outside her driveway with three occupants when she attempted to enter her property in Craighall in April. One suspect approached and tried to press the victim’s cellphone through the window while she was still talking on it.
“They allegedly demanded money and jewellery from the victim. They then took her into the house, tied her and her domestic worker up with plastic cables ties,” said police spokesperson Constable Stanley Bopape.
The suspects allegedly ransacked the house and took appliances as well as the victim’s vehicle and drove off.
One suspect was dressed in blue jeans, white T-shirt and wore a beanie. He is light in complexion with brown eyes. He is an African of about 35 to 40 years and he is 1.9 metres tall.
His accomplice was polite during the incident. He was dressed in dark clothes. He is an African male, dark brown in complexion and about 35 to 40 years and he is about 1.7 metres tall.
