Child hurt after two cars collide

FERNDALE – A child has been injured after two cars collided in Ferndale.

A child (5) sustained moderate injuries after a collision between two motor vehicles took place on the corner of Republic Road and Kent Avenue in Ferndale.

ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found both vehicles in the middle of the road on 25 May. It is alleged that both drivers involved in the crash were found walking around at the scene of the accident.

Paramedics assessed the scene and found that a girl, believed to be 5 years old, had sustained moderate injuries while the two drivers both escaped injury. Paramedics treated the child at the scene of the accident and transported her to Mediclinic Sandton for further treatment and assessments.

Police were on scene for further investigations.
