Special morning for moms

RANDPARK RIDGE – Trinityhouse Pre-Primary Randpark Ridge spend a morning treating mothers to a special picnic.

Trinityhouse Pre-Primary Randpark Ridge held their annual Mother’s Day event at their school where they treated mothers to a morning of pampering.

Principal of the school, Andrea Brannd, said that they did this every year where they treated about 200 mothers on the morning of 5 May.

“The children arrived with enormous smiles, laden with picnic blankets and food. The morning was a big celebration where mothers and children had an opportunity to relax and socialise with each other,” Brannd said.

She explained that in the past twenty years of the school’s existence, this event has been the highlight on the school’s calendar with mothers beginning their morning with coffee, tea, fruit kebabs, muffins and croissants.

“After the mothers have had their coffee and tea, they then go into the classroom with their children and craft a gift together. The Grade 000 class made matching bracelets, the Grade 00 class made necklaces and the Grade 0 class made a wooden heart decoration,” she explained.

Brannd explained that after the mothers receive their gifts, they then grab their picnic baskets and head out into the garden to picnic with their child.

“This year the weather was brilliant and we were able to reach our objective of celebrating and making our mothers feel special. Mothers are always busy and we wanted them to just have a morning off and have fun for a change,” she further explained.
