Police confiscated three unlicensed firearms when a Mercedes-Benz vehicle which was allegedly stolen in Bedfordview in the East Rand was recovered in the Randburg Police precinct.
Police followed a suspicious vehicle this afternoon and stopped three suspects at the corner of William Nicol Drive and Main Street in Bryanston. They then searched the occupants of the car and found the firearms.

Randburg Police spokesperson constable Stanley Bopape said police followed the vehicle and managed to stop the suspects.
“The suspects have been charged with the possession of unlicensed firearms and the possession of a stolen motor vehicle,” he said.
He further explained that the suspects would soon appear in the Randburg Magistrates Court.
