The development of a social housing project in Selkirk Avenue will be discussed during a public meeting on 3 May.
Residents from Ward 102 are invited to attend the meeting at the Walter Sisulu Hall next to the Randburg Sports Complex in Malanshof from 6:30 pm until 7:30pm.
Ward 102 Councillor David Potter said Johannesburg Social Housing Company (Joshco) will consult residents and give feedback on the housing development project.
“This project is a rental housing development which Joshco, the City-owned housing company, will be embarking on in the area on the corner of Jan Smuts Avenue and Selkirk Street,” he said.
He encouraged residents to attend the meeting as the representatives from the company and team members are expected to explain, among others, the project steering committee, recruitment of a community liaison officer and local empowerment community support.
